Teachers on protest, KMC warns of taking action if it affects school schedule

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has warned that action will be taken if schools are closed in the name of teachers’ protest.

In the notice issued by Sitaram Koirala, the education officer of the metropolis, it is mentioned that action will be taken if the school remained closed in the name of protest.

The metropolis says that it is not appropriate to deprive children of education just because teachers want their demands to be fulfilled.

KMC has requested all schools under the metropolish to remain open.

Even before, the metropolis had warned that the teachers and staff of the school would be dismissed from service if they go on strike as the school is a peace zone.
