Kathmandu: Nepal has celebrated constitution day on Wednesday.
Constitution Day special program was held at Tundikhel in Kathmandu.
President Ram Chandra Paudel, Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Chief Justice Bishwambhar Shrestha, Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Acting Prime Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Ministers, Speaker of the Federal Parliament and MPs, heads and officials of constitutional bodies and others were present at the ceremony.
In the ceremony, a banner written ‘Constitution Day, 2080’ was displayed and sprinkled from the helicopter of the Nepali Army.
Apart from the flying of colorful balloons and peace pigeons, various teams of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force also performed a march pass and musical performance.
