Kathmandu: Nepal has sent relief materials to Turkey affected by the earthquake.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, more than 22 tons of relief materials including medicine, medical equipment, baby clothes and other essential materials have been sent.
Earlier, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council meeting held at the Prime Minister and Cabinet Office decided to send essential materials and health personnel to Turkey.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has thanked the relevant government agencies, private sector and humanitarian organizations for the relief material support and Turkish Airlines for the transportation.
Due to the earthquake that occurred last Monday morning and afternoon, more than 33,000 people have died in Turkey, 29,695 people and 3,500 people in Syria.
