Nepal bags a historic win in ODI cricket

Kathmandu: Nepal has won a historic victory by defeating Namibia by 2 wickets in the three-nation ODI series under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.

Nepal met the target of 286 runs given by Namibia by losing 8 wickets in 47 overs.

Kushal Bhurtel scored the highest 115 runs for Nepal. Similarly, captain Rohit Paudel scored 72 runs, Sandeep Lamichhane scored 28 runs, Gyanendra Malla scored 25 runs and Karan KC scored 20 runs.

Earlier, Namibia, who lost the toss and were invited to bat, scored 285 runs in the scheduled 50 overs after losing the toss.

This is the biggest result achieved by Nepal in the history of ODI cricket.
Earlier, Nepal had met the target of 244 runs given by UAE in 2019, losing 6 wickets in 44 overs in 4 balls.

With this victory, Nepal is in sixth place with 20 points from 25 matches in ICC World Cup Cricket League-2, which consists of seven countries. Namibia is third with 37 points from 31 matches.
