Nepal Parliament bans T-shirt and jeans

Kathmandu: The House of Representatives has decided the dress to be worn by the MPs while participating in the Parliament meeting.

The parliament has decided to ban T-shirt and jeans inside the premises of the parliament.

Rule 242 of the House of Representatives Rules 2079 has provisions regarding dress and emblems.

Where it is mentioned that the dress code of MPs shall be as prescribed by the Speaker in consultation with the Consultative Committee.

According to the regulations, MPs should pay attention to formal, original culture and tradition or decent dress or dress that reflects his or her identity.

Full court, half court can be used. one can also wear decent clothes that reflect the original culture and tradition or identity. However, T-shirt pants, jeans pants can not be worn.
