Accused of fake Bhutanese refugee case Top Bahadur Rayamajhi arrested

Kathmandu: Nepal Police have arrested former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi in case of fake Bhutanese refugees.
He is prepared to present in court today. He was arrested on charges of being involved in the fraud business of sending Nepalis to USA as refugees of Bhutan.

Rayamajhi, who was absconding after the arrest warrant was issued on May 3, was arrested yesterday from Budhanilkanth in Kathmandu.

Rayamajhi has already been suspended as secretary by UML. The police have also issued arrest warrants against former Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa’s son Prateek, former Congress MP Ang Dawa Sherpa and Indrajit Rai’s son Niraj.

Thirteen people including former Deputy Prime Minister Rayamajhi and former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand have been arrested so far in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.
