Morocco halts all added flights to Qatar

Kathmandu: Supporters were denied access to the stadium after Royal Air Massoc canceled a scheduled flight from Morocco to Qatar on Wednesday.

In the second semi-final of the FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night, Morocco is playing against former champions France.

In the same match, supporters who bought tickets to come from Africa to the Middle East to support the national team were stopped in Raba, according to Reuters.

According to Reuters, the airline had to cancel the flight due to the decision of the Qatari authorities.

“Due to the new standards implemented by the Qatari authorities, it is with regret that we have to inform you that the scheduled flights to Qatar on Wednesday through Qatar Air have been cancelled,” the email sent to the passengers reads.

International media have said that the Qatari government has refused to respond to this matter. Earlier, Royal said it would help supporters travel to Qatar for the match between Morocco and France with 30 extra flights.

However, citing a RoyalNet source, Reuters claimed that only 14 flights were scheduled.
