Kathmandu: Barshaman Pun, a member of the CPN-Maoist Central Committee, will be taken to Thailand on Wednesday for further treatment.
He has been taken to Bangkok for further treatment due to health problems in the last few days. Leader Pun has been receiving treatment at Sumeru Hospital in Lalitpur after he was diagnosed with high bile, vomiting, and fever. CPN (M) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had suggested taking necessary steps for further treatment of Pun as the amount of bile was not reduced.
According to the doctors involved in the treatment, Pun has been suffering from a hereditary infection. Pun, who is also the former finance and energy minister, is preparing to leave for Bangkok with his wife and former speaker Onsari Gharti tomorrow morning.
