Kathmandu: In Kathmandu, all citizens above 18 years of age will get Johnson & Johnson vaccine against covid-19 from Wednesday.
The vaccine was introduced to citizens between the ages of 50 and 54, people with disabilities, refugees, citizens traveling to other countries where the Johnson vaccine is mandatory, and health workers who missed out on the first phase.
But after two days of vaccination, the government has decided to give the vaccine to those above 18 years of age.
The Department of Health Services had provided 140,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine to Kathmandu.
The United States had given 1.5 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson Company vaccine to Nepal on July 12 under the Covax program.
