Kathmandu: India has lowered the price of electricity in competitive markets. In India will now sell electricity a maximum rate of Rs 12 per unit.
Nepal has also been buying electricity from India. The Electricity Regulatory Commission of India has reduced the competitive rate of electricity from Rs 20 per unit to Rs 12 per unit.
Issuing a directive, the commission has stated that the price limit has been reduced to minimize the impact of buying and selling electricity at high prices.
