Health Ministry asks to take booster dose against coronavirus

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has requested to take booster dose against coronavirus as the infection rate is increasing in neighbouring country, India.

Issuing an statement today, the ministry has said that it has found a new variant of the corona virus, BF. 7 in India. As there is a risk of spreading in Nepal as well, it has asked to be cautious.

Stating that this virus seen in neighboring countries has not been confirmed in Nepal so far, the Ministry has mentioned that prevention and control measures should be taken as there is a risk of spreading in Nepal due to open borders and movement of people.

At the same the ministry has directed all to wear mask.
