Govt to monitor to stop congestion in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Monitoring will be carried out in the Kathmandu Valley after the congestion is not stopped despite the increase in corona infection. A prohibition monitoring committee has been formed under the coordination of the Deputy Chief District Officer for monitoring.

Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Kali Prasad Parajuli informed that the committee will start monitoring in the Kathmandu Valley from today. According to him, monitoring will be done by giving priority to congested areas and public transport. He added that action would be taken if anyone does not wear a mask during the monitoring.

Similarly, preparations have been made to extend the prohibitory order in the Kathmandu Valley for the prevention of corona.

This issue will be discussed at today’s meeting of the Board of Directors of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center CCMC. After that, the meeting of the three chief district officers of the valley will decide on the prohibitory order tomorrow.
