Kathmandu: The Meteorological Department has urged to be alert as there will be rain and snowfall in many parts of the country from Wednesday to Saturday.
The department has issued a special bulletin today urging to be alert as the western low pressure system will increase the temperature and affect the daily life of the people including airspace, mountaineering, agriculture and transportation.
The effect of this is likely to be more in the far west and less in provinces 1 and 2. The general impact will be felt across the country. Especially in the far west, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces will have more impact. There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in many parts of the high hills and mountains of these states.
