Kathmandu: Criminal cases have rised in Nepal. According to the police head office, looking at the statistics of the last two years, more than 10,000 more crimes have been registered with the police than the previous year.
In the last financial year 2079/80, 56,319 different types of criminal incidents reported while, 46,000 cases were reported during the same period of previous fiscal year.
The Central Spokesperson of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Kuber Kadayath said that the number of complaints increased in the last year compared to the previous year.
According to him, the highest number of more than 16,000 incidents have been registered in Kathmandu Valley.
After that, more than 9,000 cases were registered in Madhes Pradesh and 8,000 cases in Koshi province.
