Kathmandu: Serial killer French citizen Charles Sobhraj has refused to be released from the jail on Thursday.
He was scheduled to be taken from the Central Jail to the Immigration Department on Thursday.
But Sobraj did not agree to be released as the immigration would leave him on bail.
When he refused, he was kept in the Central Jail on Thursday night, and preparations were made to take him to the Immigration Office on Friday.
On Wednesday, the bench of Supreme Court judges Sapana Malla Pradhan and Til Prasad Shrestha gave an order to release him from prison citing his age and health condition.
