Calibration flight begins at Gautam Buddha Intl Airport

Kathmandu: The long-awaited calibration flight has started on Friday at Gautam Buddha International Airport.

Aerothai’s special aircraft, including technicians, has conducted a test flight for 10 days to check whether the equipment connected to the communication, navigation and surveillance at the airport is working smoothly.

Aerothai’s team will stay in Bhairahawa till February 27.

The commercial flights will be operated from the airport after a minimum of 42 days and a maximum of 56 days immediately after the calibration flight.
