Kathmandu: Three people have been arrested on charges of engaging in trading the banned digital currency cryptocurrency.
Among the arrested are Anup Mishra, Dipesh Thapa and Rahul Chachan.
A team of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested them from Mahabouddha, New Road, and Kalanki areas of Kathmandu on the basis of special information.
They have so far generated a turnover of over Rs 667.9 million.
Those arrested have been sent to the Metropolitan Police Office, Teku for necessary action as per the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, 2073 BS.
