20 percent reduction in fuel for government activities

Kathmandu: The government has decided to cut fuel for government facilities by 20 percent.

Stating that the government’s foreign exchange reserves are declining, the cabinet had decided to cut off the fuel for government facilities by 20 percent.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Finance said, “Public ministries affiliated to various ministries, agencies and the government will have to cut 20 percent of the remaining budget expenditure on fuel.”

The ministry has stated that it will not be applicable in the case of essential vehicles, vehicles used in local elections and vehicles used for peace and security.
