Kathmandu: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has taken a significant step in promoting adventure tourism by officially designating paragliding zones at four additional locations across the country.
The newly designated paragliding zones are strategically located in Manedanda-Ramechhap, Rapti-Dang, Chitlang-Makwanpur, and Andhikhola-Syangja. Commercial paragliding flights have already commenced in some of these zones, with Chitlang in Chandragiri witnessing the exciting launch of paragliding activities.
It is important to note that engaging in paragliding activities is restricted to locations authorized by the CAAN. The expansion of paragliding to these new zones marks a noteworthy development in the adventure tourism sector, initially rooted in the popular destination of Pokhara and now making its way to various regions nationwide.
