Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has received a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives.
On Monday, 172 MPs supported the resolution that the Prime Minister said that he has the confidence of the House of Representatives. 89 MPs voted against the proposal.
The prime minister had to take a vote of confidence for the second time within two and a half months due to the constitutional provision that the Prime Minister should take a vote of confidence after the party that had supported the government withdrew its support
Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Center, Janata Samajwadi Party, CPN Yekikrit Samajwadi Party, Janamat Party, Democratic Socialist Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Rashtriya Janamorcha and Rashtriya Swatantra Pary and others gave vote of confidence to the Prime Minister in the House of Representatives on Monday.
