Health ministry directs to keep hospitals and labs ready

Kathmandu: The government has urged hospitals to be prepared for treatment, saying the number of coronaviruses could rise.

A meeting of the Incident Command System (ICS) of the Ministry of Health and Population has decided to manage the treatment of corona infections in federal hospitals, provincial hospitals and basic hospitals. The ministry has instructed the hospitals to be ready for that.

Similarly, it has been decided to keep all the 84 laboratories, both private and government, testing corona infection in readiness. Jageshwar Gautam informed.

The ministry has also asked the government laboratory to demand money if it needs more manpower. It has also decided to set up 2,000 HDU beds in government hospitals.

Spokesperson Gautam also said that they will help in setting up an oxygen refilling tank in the hospital which has more than 200 beds.
