Kathmandu: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has directed the concerned department to bring an action plan to expand the tax range. During the internal briefing of the ministry, Minister Sharma demanded an action plan to raise taxation areas.
Minister Sharma stressed the need to work towards reducing the tax rate by expanding the tax base.
He also instructed the officials of the ministry to make it easier for the taxpayers by removing the administrative hassle. He urged the taxpayers to rectify the situation saying that they have to face the hassle of paying taxes.
Emphasizing making the tax administration taxpayer-friendly, Minister Sharma said that the tax administration is not a ruler of the people but a servant. Minister Sharma said that the tax range could be easily expanded if the existing tax administration is improved.
