Kathmandu: Women parliamentarians have demanded the government to remove the time limit in cases of heinous crimes including rape.

Among the lawmakers in the House of Representatives are CPN-UML MP Binda Pandey, Nepali Congress MP Pushpa Bhusal and CPN (Maoist Center) MP Amrita Thapa Magar, who demanded removal of deadline rule on filing rape or sexual harrasment cases.

The Women and Social Committee of the House of Representatives had organized a discussion at Singha Durbar on Sunday on the issue of a young woman who was raped by the organizers of a beauty pageant eight years ago.
