Vice President requests Chinese investors to invest in Nepal

Kathmandu: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has requested Chinese investors to invest in Nepal.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the 7th China South Asian Exhibition and the 27th China Khumaning Import and Export Fair organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China and Yunnan Province, Vice President Yadav requested for investment in Nepal in the fields of hydropower and tourism physical infrastructure.

During his visit to China, he also met both Nepali and Chinese investors and had disscussion about the possibility of trade and invest between these two countries.

In the same program, a site-line meeting was held between Vice President Yadav and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, according to a statement issued by the Nepali Embassy in China.

It is reported that there was a discussion between Vice President Yadav and Foreign Minister Wang Yi regarding the bilateral relations between Nepal and China.

Education Minister Ashok Kumar Rai also participated in the same ceremony. In the discussion attended by Minister Rai of the 4th South Asian Technology Forum, the issue of cooperation between China and Nepal in the field of education, science and technology was discussed.
