Vaccine supported by China arrives

Kathmandu: A total of 800,000 doses of vaccine donated by China arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday. On Tuesday, a Nepal Airlines Corporation brought 800,000 doses of vaccine.

In a meeting with President Bidhya Devi Bhandari last week, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced a grant of one million doses of the vaccine.

The remaining 200,000 vaccines will be provided by Tibet. Of this, 50,400 doses of vaccine have been handed over to the officials of the Ministry of Health and Population on Tuesday morning.

Another 54,200 doses will arrive in Kathmandu in the evening and 99,200 doses will reach Kathmandu tomorrow morning, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, 800,000 doses of vaccines provided by China have been brought to Nepal and used.
