Cabinet decides to cancel SEE examination this year

Kathmandu: The cabinet meeting has decided to cancle this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE).

As per this decision, the details of the internal assessment of the schools should be sent to the concerned District Education Development and Coordination Committee and certified by the Education Development and Coordination Unit and sent to the National Examination Board.

Based on the details, the examination board will prepare the results and make them public. Earlier, a meeting of the Ministry of Education had sent a proposal to the Council of Ministers to complete the SEE according to the internal evaluation method like last year.

Last year, a three-member evaluation committee comprising school principals, class teachers and experienced teachers was formed on the basis of 10 percent evaluation of the first quarter, 30 percent evaluation of the second quarter and 60 percent evaluation of the third quarter.
