Kathmandu: US Deputy Minister of Political Affairs Victoria Nuland has arrived in Kathmandu.
Deputy Minister Nuland will meet Prime Minister and Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Chairman of Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairman of UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and other.
According to the US Embassy in Nepal, Deputy Minister Nuland will discuss the broad agenda of American partnership with the government of Nepal during her two-day visit.
She will also observe Nepal’s cultural heritage, and the embassy also mentioned that America is proud of Nepal’s cultural heritage.
Nuland, who has worked in the diplomatic field for 33 years, is an experienced American diplomat.
This is the second major visit from the US after Uzra Zeya, the US Deputy Minister of Civil Security, Democracy and Human Rights.
