UML and RPP-Nepal agree to coordinate for local election

Kathmandu: The CPN-UML and Kamal Thapa-led RPP-Nepal have agreed to coordinate in the local elections.

A five-point memorandum of understanding has been signed between the leaders of the two parties on Wednesday.

It has been agreed to coordinate in the municipality as much as possible, the candidates of RPP-Nepal will compete in the election with the sun symbol and after getting elected, they will remain affiliated to RPP-Nepal.

Similarly, RPP-Nepal has agreed to support UML candidates in places where it has not fielded candidates.

As per the agreement signed by UML Local Development Department Chief Devendra Dahal and RPP-Nepal Spokesperson Sushil Kumar Shrestha, the district committees of both the parties have agreed to send the proposal to the Center for cooperation.
