Kathmandu: After the young spinner Ayan Afzal Khan took 4 wickets with excellent bowling in his One Day International (ODI) debut match, Nepal team was defeated by 84 runs against UAE in the first ODI match.
After defeating the home team at the Tribhuvan University (TU) ground in Kritipur, UAE has taken a 1-0 lead in the ODI series.
Chasing the target of 264 runs, Nepal scored only 179 runs by losing nine wickets despite playing the entire 50 overs.
The second ODI between Nepal and UAE will be held on Wednesday.
