Kathmandu: Nepal has scored a commendable victory over Scotland in the tri-nation ODI series under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.
Nepal met the target of 275 runs given by Scotland by losing 7 wickets in 47 overs.
Dipendra Singh Airi and Kushal Malla batted excellently for Nepal. Kushal got out after scoring 81 runs off 67 balls, while Dipendra scored 85 runs not out off 116 balls.
Likewise, Sompal Kami scored 24 runs not out. On the bowling side, Chris Sale and Mark Watt of Scotland took 3/3 wickets.
With this win, Nepal is in the sixth place in the table with 22 points in 26 matches.
Scotland remains at the top with 48 points from 34 matches.
Nepal will open the series against Namibia on Saturday and again against Scotland on Tuesday.
