Tourism Minister urges EU to remove Nepal from air safety list

Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has requested European Union to remove the Nepali civil aviation sector from its air safety list.

During a meeting with Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Managing Director of the European Union’s European External Affairs Service for the Asia and the Pacific, at the Ministry on Tuesday, Minister Ale called for the removal of Nepal’s aviation sector from air safety list.

In response, Director Pamplona said that the European Union is positive about the removal from the blacklist.

The team has been in Kathmandu since last Saturday, leading a three-member delegation to attend the 13th meeting of the Nepal-Union Joint Commission.
