Tourism Minister directs to reduce ATF price

Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal has directed to reduce the price of air turbine fuel (ATF).

He has directed to adjust the ATF price in a discussion with the officials of the concerned bodies on Thursday,

Minister Dhakal has discussed with Tourism Secretary Yadav Prasad Koirala, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry Dinesh Bhattarai, Executive Director of Nepal Oil Corporation Surendra Poudel, Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Rajan Pokhrel and General Manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation Dim Prakash Poudel.

Stating that the ATF price has gone up, Minister Dhakal has directed to reduce the price. He also directed the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal to assist in land management to increase the storage capacity of the corporation as the demand will increase when the price of fuel is reduced.

He said that the airline companies have been affected due to a lack of timely adjustment of ATF prices. Various organizations have also been demanding a reduction in ATF prices used by international airlines.
