Nepal win over Chinese Taipei by two goals

Kathmandu: Nepal defeated Chinese Taipei in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers last night.

Nepal defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 in a match played at the Jaber Al Ahmed International Ground in Kuwait. Anjan Bista scored from the penalty spot in the fourth minute of the match for Nepal.

Nepal was awarded a penalty after a Taipei player touched the ball with his hand. Another goal was scored by Navayug Shrestha in the 81st minute. With yesterday’s victory, Nepal has managed to defeat Chinese Taipei in both the games of the World Cup qualifiers.

Even though Nepal has six points in the table, the possibility of playing in the World Cup qualifiers is almost over. But the possibility of entering the third round of the Asian Cup selection remains.
