Teacher’s protest affects traffic in Kathmandu valley

Kathmandu: Traffic management in Kathmandu has become chaotic even today due to teachers’ protest.

Vehicles are not able to run smoothly on the road through Maitighar, Dijjibazar till Baneshwar.

The teachers have continued their protest for the second day today. Traffic management was chaotic in this area yesterday as well.

This morning, on the initiative of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, a discussion was held among the teachers’ representatives on issues including law and order and traffic management.

The Federation of Teachers has said that until the bill is withdrawn, the protest program will continue.

Teachers from different districts have come to Kathmandu to protest against the school education bill proposed in the parliament.

This protest has also affected schools inside the valley and across the country.
