Kathmandu: Sasmita Ghimire, a senior law officer at the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), has come forward accusing Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) of subjecting her to mental torture and unfair treatment.
Taking to social media, Ghimire announced the initiation of legal proceedings against Mayor Shah, citing mistreatment and the unjust removal of her responsibilities. According to Ghimire, during Mayor Shah’s administration, she was sidelined and deprived of her duties without proper justification. She went on to express that the mistreatment reached the extent that she was not even provided with a chair to sit in her office.
The accusations raise concerns about the work environment within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and the treatment of its senior officers. Mayor Balendra Shah has yet to respond to these allegations.
