Kathmandu: District Administration Office of Kathmandu bans selling alcohol in Kathmandu from Tuesday.
Targeting the nearing local election the Kathmandu district administration has issued a notice on Sunday banning the distribution of liquor in Kathmandu from Tuesday.
It is mentioned in the notice that such decision has been taken under the provision of Article 71 (Prohibition of Alcohol) in the Local Level Election Directive 2073 BS.
Similarly, it is also mentioned in the notice that the vehicles operating in the essential services and those who have obtained permission will not be allowed to operate from 6 o’clock in the morning till the election day.
The administration office has stated that action will be taken if anyone goes against the directives.
