Saudi Arabia beat Argentina 2-1 in the World Cup

Kathmandu: Argentina, which is considered as a contender for the FIFA World Cup, lost to Saudi Arabia in its first match.

Saudi Arabia defeated Argentina by 2-1 in the match held at Lusail Stadium on Tuesday.

While trailing 1-0 in the first half, Saudi scored 2 goals in the second half.

Lionel Messi scored a penalty for Argentina. Saleh Alsheri and Salim Aldasari scored for Saudi. With this defeat, Argentina’s unbeaten streak of 36 consecutive games will come to a ‘break’.
