Kathmandu: A record holder Kamirita Sherpa has decided to climb Mt Everest again to break his own record.
The 52-year-old Sherpa, who has climbed Mt. Everest for the 25th time earlier, is again climbing Mt Everest for the 26th time.
Kami Rita, who has been involved in mountaineering for the past 30 years, is still in charge of paving the way for the climbers.
Kami Rita, who climbed Mt. Everest twice in the same season in 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2019, had planned to climb Mt. Everest twice last year.
But at the request of his family, he canceled his second ascent and returned to Kathmandu.
Kami Rita has also climbed the world’s second-highest peak Mt. K2, the fourth-highest Mt. Lhotse, the sixth-highest Mt. Choyu, and Mt. Manaslu.
