Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has recommended postponing the Class 12 examination. A meeting of the National Examination Board has been called tomorrow to decide on the matter.
The Class 12 examination, which was suspended due to the Corona epidemic, was scheduled to start from August 16. The board had started preparations to keep only 25 students in a class by maintaining physical distance. Preparations were made to conduct PCR test before the examination, to conduct health examination at the examination center and to have a health desk at the center.
However, the health ministry has recommended the Ministry of Education and the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) to stop the examination saying that the infection has increased in recent days. The ministry had written a letter to the CCMC on Friday requesting it to reconsider its permission to conduct the Class 12 examination physically.
Accordingly, CCMC has sent a letter to the Ministry of Education and the Ministry has given instructions to the Examination Board.
