Rashtriya Swatantra Party MP Shrestha suspended in bribery case

Kathmandu: After the audio of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Dhakakumar Shrestha asking for bribe became public, MP Shrestha has been suspended by the party.

The audio of Shrestha demanding a bribe from medical businessman Durga Prasai saying that he has to pay Rs 20 million to Rabi Lamichhane to become a minister was released on Sunday.

In the audio, Shrestha told Prasai that the Minister of Health and Population is part of his party in the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

He has requested Prasain to manage two crore rupees. He has told Prasai that the Chairman Lamichhane is ready to make him a minister even if it is 1 crore.

Prasain has set a condition that he will manage two crore rupees but will do his work later.
