Kathmandu: Singer Raju Lama has given a concert at an altitude of 6,574 meters to spread the message about the effects of climate change.
After reaching Camp 3 of Everest, Lama sang popular songs of the Mongolian Heart Band.
The concert was held to convey the message that the crisis of climate change has melted mountains and glaciers, endangered the lives and culture of the people living in the coastal areas, and brought natural disasters like floods and landslides.
This concert by Raju is also the highest musical program. Earlier, British singer Oz Beldon had set a Guinness World Record for the concert on May 16, 2012, at an altitude of 6,476 meters in Meerapeak Himal.
