Kathmandu: Three private sector organizations have jointly protested against the corruption case filed by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority against the cement industry.
On Monday, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Confederation of Nepalese Industries and the Nepal Chamber of Commerce issued a joint press release protesting the move.
In a joint statement, three private sector organizations have claimed that the private sector, which is trying to recover from the Covid-19 epidemic, is being attacked continuously from different sectors.
In a joint press release, FNCCI President Shekhar Golchha, FNCCI President Bishnu Agrawal and Chamber President Rajendra Malla expressed serious concern over the issue of authority, saying that it would have a negative impact on investment promotion, job creation and development and expansion of the overall economy in Nepal.
Attempts are being made to facilitate the private sector in economic recovery while trying to impose corruption in Nepal is an attack on the private sector, the statement said.
The statement also urged the authorities to be aware of the serious impact of the move on the expansion of the private sector in Nepal.
