Prohibitory order issued in Siraha district

Kathmandu: The local administration in Siraha has issued a restraining order after the Janamat Party continued the general strike and traffic jam for the past few days.

The local administration has issued a restraining order till Wednesday after the Janmat Party continued the traffic jam on the East-West Highway.

It is mentioned in the notice that prohibition has been issued in accordance with Article 6-2) and-3) of the Local Administration Act 2028 to prevent any kind of gathering, walking outside, political meeting and activities in the specified area.

The Janamat Party has gone on strike in the district demanding the release of the farmers. In the process, vehicles have been vandalized and even set on fire.
