Prime Minister Oli to address UN general assembly on COVID-19

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on COVID-19.

The special meeting, to be held on December 3 and 4, will be addressed by world leaders, top UN officials and heads of companies developing vaccines. The main purpose of the General Assembly is to address the epidemic of Covid-19 and its effects.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed that the video of Prime Minister Oli’s address to the General Assembly has been recorded and taken to the General Assembly.

PM Oli will address on the first day of general assembly.

There will be a total of 141 speakers in the General Assembly. Of them, 53 are heads of state, 39 are heads of government, four are prime ministers and 38 are ministers.

In addition to addressing world leaders, there will be discussions on various aspects of the vaccine against corona.

Nepal has been actively participating in the international discussions on COVID-19. Nepal has been saying that with the development of COVID-19 vaccine, everyone should have equal access to it.
