Prime Minister Deuba receives vote of confidence

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has received a vote of confidence. In the House of Representatives polls on Sunday, 165 votes were cast in favor of Deuba while 83 votes were cast against him.

249 MPs participated in the voting. One remained neutral.

Deuba received a vote from his own party, the Nepali Congress, along with 22 lawmakers from the Maoist Center, Janata Samajwadi Party, CPN-UML, and Rashtriya Janamorcha.

One MP from RPP and one from NCP did not cast their vote.
