Kathmandu: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on Tuesday issued the Railway Ordinance.
Based on the Article 114 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, she issued the Nepal Railway Ordinance 2078 BS on the recommendation of the cabinet.
With the issuance of the ordinance, the way is now open for the operation of railways. Now, Nepal Railway Company is preparing to operate the train in a few weeks.
The entire structure of the Jayanagar-Kurtha railway has been completed and the train has been tested in December. The train has not come into operation for passenger yet.
The interest of the general public has increased due to the inability of the train to come into operation for a long time. Ordinary people have been waiting for the long-awaited train journey for years.
