Police arrests a boy attempt to wear Narayanhiti’s crown

Kathmandu: An attempt has been made to steal the crown of the former king displayed in the Narayanhiti Durbar Museum.

Khem Bahadur Gharti, 25, of Rukum West Musikot Municipality-11 had tried to break the glass by removing a khukuri from the room where the crown is being placed.

However, the security forces took him under control and handed him over to the police.

He later explained to the Metropolitan Police that he tried to wear the crown as he thought he will become king after wearing the crown. The police have suspected if he is mentally ill. However, the investigation is underway and Gharti is currently under the custody of the police.
