Kathmandu: The owner of Pappu Construction, Harinarayan Rauniyar, has been arrested on the basis of complaint filed for fraud.
Rauniyar was arrested today Friday by the team of Baneshwor police.
Although a complaint has been registered against Rauniyar at the Banke district police office for fraud related offences, as he lives in Kathmandu, a request was made to District Police Kathmandu to arrest Rauniyar.
Rauniyar is also a former MP elected from Parsa Constituency No. 3.
A corruption case was filed against him by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority in a special court while he was still an MP.
