Kathmandu: The government has set a date to bring Pokhara Regional International Airport into operation.
Jagannath Niraula, spokesperson of the authority, informed that the meeting of the board of directors of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) held on Sunday decided to bring the airport into operation from December.
The meeting was chaired by Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha. With the operation of this airport, the number of international airports in Nepal will reach three.
Gautam Buddha International Airport came into operation in Nepal only in the last fiscal year.
