Kathmandu: In a commendable display of solidarity and compassion, the Prime Minister and members of the cabinet have unanimously chosen to contribute by donating one month’s salary towards the relief efforts for earthquake-affected victims in Jajarkot and Rukum West.
The decision was formally announced by Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, during a press briefing following the Cabinet meeting held on Thursday.
Minister Sharma conveyed that the government, recognizing the urgent need for support in the wake of the earthquake, has resolved to allocate one month’s salary from both the Prime Minister and Cabinet members to the dedicated earthquake victims’ relief fund.
This philanthropic initiative underscores the government’s commitment to actively participate in and alleviate the hardships faced by the affected communities.
